For many centuries, people of the rural areas of Peru have maintained the teachings and practices of their ancestors. Some of the communities most steeped in tradition are those smaller Andean villages that are located in the mountain ranges of Ausangate. We offer an unforgettable trip that will offer a glimpse into the depth of the Peruvian soul and a chance to see these people in their natural environments, living in the manner that people of this area have lived for centuries.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Cusco – Ocongate - Tinqui
We will leave Cusco in a private bus to the town of Urcos, driving along the Cusco - Puerto Maldonado route. On our way to our first days destination, Tinqui (3800 mtrs), we will pass by the small, native village, Ocongate, where we will have our dinner and sleep that night.

will begin with a visit to a group of small, brilliantly coloured lakes, which will serve as a starting point for our journey to the highest pass of the entire trek, the Palomani Pass, which towers at about 5,100 meters above sea level. At dusk we will arrive to Jampa, where we will set up camp for the night.
